Taktix is a suite of games that have been developed to help pupils gain the basic knowledge to understand how a business works regardless of their age, ability or background. By introducing the concept of business in a fun and simple way it effectively develops positive attitudes to business education by harnessing pupils' creativity, thinking skills and curiosity. As a multi-modal package, Taktix offers a high quality board game in addition to an on-line version and on-line support and extension materials.

The board game Taktix 1 provides a taste of enterprise introducing business education at three different levels, beginner, intermediate and advanced. The appropriate level can be selected dependent upon the year group that is playing the game. Pupils can play individually or in pairs and are made aware of their own strengths and weaknesses in business knowledge and understanding.

The board game Taktix 2 brings enterprise to life whereby pupils work in teams to create and run a business. Together they make key business decisions, learn how to plan, monitor their cashflow and manage the unexpected. Taktix 2 is an ideal opportunity to encourage local business mentors to facilitate the game sharing their expertise with the group.

The online version of Taktix allows pupils to work at their own pace with hints and tips and additional help facilities to increase their knowledge. Teachers have access to extended learning materials and activities which are related to specific subjects for pupils to research and complete as part of a lesson plan or homework. Incorporated into the online version is a password protected area that allows the teacher to monitor and glean an acute picture of individual pupil knowledge and understanding.
