Are you running or thinking about running any projects for hard to reach groups, with the aim of getting people back into employment?
There is a strong movement to get people off benefits, out of the unemployment system and back into work. Enterprise Taktix has developed a suite of workshops which build into a programme to support unemployed people - to enable them to make an informed decision about their future.
The options they face are:
- Returning to education
- Becoming employed
- Becoming self employed - and starting their own business.
Taktix programmes have been developed to create awareness of enterprise across a wide variety of groups - the long term unemployed, ex-offenders, women returners, the disadvantaged and low-educational achievers.
Our programmes show how individuals can take charge of their lives in a positive way and become productive members of the community. They not only teach individuals business skills, but develop personal skills. Focusing on Attitude, Creativity, Relationship and Organisation (ACRO), these personal skills can make individuals more employable, give them the confidence to gain further training, or to start up in business.
We realise that different groups have differing needs, so we have developed a series of supporting workshops that can be added to the core Taktix programme. This provides flexibility to ensure each Taktix programme is tailored to the needs of the particular group, to ensure maximum benefit to the participants.
At the heart of the Taktix programmes are the Taktix Games. Our first game provides a 'taste of enterprise' to show how much participants know already, and to help them learn about the issues that they were unaware of. The second game 'brings enterprise to life', showing the importance of planning, cash flow and managing the unexpected. Both board games enable the participant to find out of they have the entrepreneurial qualities and skills required to make it as a successful business owner.
